Our vision is to bridge the education gap between young boys and girls in Africa; in turn, reducing the overall illiteracy levels within the continent and creating the next generation of resourceful women. We want every girl to know that their voice deserves to be heard and it can change the world.
This goal is achieved by sponsoring and mentoring secondary school girls; making quality education accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding.
Community
Families and communities are a vital support system to the young girls we sponsor; as such, we maintain continued interactions and engagement with their families and communities wherever possible. This ensures that the girls we work with are in environments that allow them to learn and foster their growth. Our hope is that the young girls we work with are able to invest their learning back into their families and communities.
Mentorship
Learning and development takes place beyond the four walls of a classroom, and so our approach extends beyond formal education. We ensure that every one of our scholarship recipients is mentored by carefully selected mentors.
Impact Report
We value transparency at Educate Our Girls and that is why we have made the conscious decision to publish this impact report. The report will include our strategy on how we have facilitated change, a breakdown of funds received from inception to 2020, and how the funds have been spent.
