A changed Maasai story

Through a number of tragic circumstances, she was orphaned at a very young age. She was passed around from one family to another and had an unstable couple of years. An extended family member in Arusha took her in and cared for her despite their financial constraints. Due to this financial constraint, the next level of her education was rather uncertain.

Despite her distressing childhood, Digna remains a happy and loving young girl. EOG met her during a project trip in Arusha Tanzania, and she made an instant impression with her tenacity, smile and outpouring of love. She’s top of her class in her local public primary school, enjoys playing net ball, and would like to become a doctor one day.

From 2022, EOG will be sponsoring her through the next level of her education, starting with English tuitions and then secondary school education.
